Computer Tomography
- CT
Computer tomography has long been part of the basic radiological tools in cross-section imaging diagnostics. A latest-generation spiral CT unit enables us to create precise images of bodily cross-sections extremely quickly. A joint practice at the St. Franziskus Hospital operates a powerful 24-hour CT unit in cooperation with the hospital's Radiological Clinic. This ensures prompt pre-admission and post-admission out-patient care.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been used increasingly over the past few years in the diagnosis of diseases of the neurocranium, spine (including spinal cord), joints and internal organs. MRI enables cross-section images to be created at all required levels of anatomical structures of all bodily regions. A high-field MRI device is operated by the joint radiological practice and is also available for use with in-patients.
